Y'all, we had a ball at the last two Dat Zydeco Fest’s. Zydeco fans traveled from Texas, Arkansas, New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Georgia, Mississippi, and of course, all across Louisiana.
Join us on Saturday, March 20, 2027 at The Broadside New Orleans for the 3rd annual, Dat Zydeco Fest.
Festival co-founders, Sean Ardoin and J. Paul Jr., along with Chris Ardoin are already scheduled to perform. We will be adding an artist or two later. As we did this year we will again have Zydeco Dance Instructors, Chris Lemelle, ShaRhonda Biagase and Jonas “Joey” Etienne will be teaching our Creole dance styles, and Jazmine Haynes, “Louisiana Line Dance Queen” will be teaching line dance, which will allow you to enhance your festival experience by immersing yourself completely in Creole Culture! We will also have regional Celebrity, Malik Mingo, of WWLT “Great Day Louisiana” fame, hosting again.

Zydeco, a music genre born from the Creole experience in Louisiana, is not only music, it’s a cultural legacy. It’s a sound that represents resilience, joy, and celebration.
Dat Zydeco Fest was created with one core mission: to expose the vibrant Creole music, rich traditions and culinary culture of Southwest Louisiana to people in Greater New Orleans and ultimately the world.
